The Silence :: [10:39:44]
I'm not dead. I've just been busy or when I have been busy I just haven't been online. Or when I have been online I just haven't felt like updating. It happens. So what have I been doing? Mostly having fun, sometimes not having fun, that kind of stuff. There's been a lot of birthdays lately, family, friends, etc, so that has kept me somewhat busy. Oh yeah, I got a 2:1 grade for my degree by the way. Why yes, I do rock, thanks for saying so. So what can I do with that grade? Well pretty much anything I feel like really. What am I going to do with it? Not a lot yet actually. I know I haven't been at uni' for months but when you consider how long I was in education before then I don't think it's unreasonable to spend a little time in a job which is perhaps less challenging than what I should perhaps undertake. So speaking of the dreaded J word, what have I been doing about it? Well for a long time I couldn't look for a job because I was waiting for my degree grade (Damn lecturers going on strike). It's a bit shit to go for an interview and when they ask you what grade you got, you having to say "No idea, they wont tell me yet". But anyhow, that's not a problem anymore. I've been to the job centre and that was just a barrel of laughs. It would seem as if most of the jobs in Hull are along the lines of factory worker, cold caller or in retail. Not particularly anything I'm interested in. Searching for jobs is interesting considering that the majority of them don't tell you anything. Yeah, those nice little computers in the job centre seem to omit a lot of information, including in a lot of cases WHO you would be working for. Interesting huh? What most of the jobs actually involve tends to be a rarity too. Looking for jobs isn't interesting when so much information is absent. The other day I went to the trouble of finding a job I liked the look of in the paper, sending off the relevant things to get information and an application form only to find them sending me information which states I explicitly NEED something which they said in the advert for the job was not necessary. So not only is information often entirely absent but the few times there are information it can be totally and utterly incorrect. YAY. How much fun can one man have? Oh well, not a lot I can do about it. I have some more jobs to apply for today, one in particular would work out very well for me. The others meh.. You take what you can get.

So what else apart from fun and job hunting? Not a great deal really, at least not that I feel like sharing at this precise moment in time. Perhaps soon though. Posts will be more frequent from now on. There have been threats from a certain Badger concerning not posting.
