The Damo :: [09:46:25]
Funny story; I was walking down the street a while back (the day after I last posted) and a bright flash of light filled the sky. I awoke upon an alien mothership and was forced to fight to the death in an arena of combat in some kind of Unreal Tournament until I emerged victorious over the likes of Xion and his brethren. Having vanquished my foes I was crowned the soveriegn Prince of a spacefaring nation of beings known as rennets. Well that or I was so busy working that the small scraps of free time I have are either spent desperately clinging to consciousness or giving in and joining the Sleep Zone (for those of you that don't remember it was a crappy cartoon show). Work is good and bad as one might expect. It's good in the sense that I get plenty of hours and that means lots of monies for me to spend on nice things. The downsides speak for themselves.

My free time has for the most part involved relaxation. Not a lot other than reading books, playing computer games and of course going places with my beloved. Not bad really. But time off from work has been slim. It's what I wanted though, all the hours I can get is good for me. We could do with the money and I've been forcing Vicki to take less hours at work lately (I think she deserves the rest). Been reading a lot of books lately and picked up a few new computer games. Computer games wise I bought Neo-Geo Battle Collusium. Not much to talk about there really, it's your standard 2d fighter with some uncommon characters and decent battle systems. I also picked up Marvel Vs Capcom 2, a classic arcade fighter with a lot of characters (over 50) and a lot of fun to be had. Also on the games front I still haven't finished FF12 but that's mainly because I just haven't played it! I have a couple of fights left to go with some of the harder to find elite marks. Other than that though I could finish the actual story of the game at any point. In fact I might do that later today just to see how it goes. Especially seeing as I don't have the time to play it for any decent lengths of time. I can always go back and finish the marks I haven't killed. Oh and of course there's another esper to get in the form of Ultima and Tiazmat to kick the crap out of. Have to admit I'm not entirely looking forward to that last one. Over six million HP afterall. I'm just glad I'm not Japanese, that release of the game has an even stronger Tiazmat. Incidentally I might have got that name wrong. I'm talking about the big ass dragon in the Sochen Cave Palace.

Picked up a few new films lately too. Bought Smokin' Aces on DVD only to be hugely dissapointed by the entirely mediocre nature of this movie. Underwhelming is the only real word I can find to describe this movie. On the other side of the coin we have the simply beautiful and awe inspiring Pan's Labyrinth (Although to be honest, the Spanish title of Labyrinth of the Faun is more accurate). The director is a genius and I am eagerly awaiting anything else he produces even as I hunt out the things he has already done. Everything about the movie is brilliant and I recommend it to everyone. Another movie I recommend to everyone is Pirates of the Carribean at Worlds End. It's full of funny moments and the few hours the film takes fly by in a blur of entertainment. It's amusing, witty, well composed and although predictable in places a good watch for anyone and everyone. If that's not enough to persuade you then surely the Rock crabs are?

Today is my day off from work as you might have gathered by the fact that I have the time and energy to post this here. Not planning to do a whole lot with it really. Which is probably as it should be considering. I'm going to try and get back into the habit of posting reuglarly but most of the time before work I'm busy and after work I'm knackered. It's a pain. Oh, I'm changing my phone and my phone number soon. I'll text everybody with my new number when I get it. My current phone is out of credit and I have no intent of topping it up. Don't see the point considering my imminent switch to contract. If you want my number, you can email me and I'll let you know.
